Flower Power, Inc. believes in the healing power of nature. Through our free pocket garden planting and maintenance services, along with a range of educational programs and creative activities, we aim to bring hope, joy, and inspiration to those bravely fighting cancer in Camden County, New Jersey.
Cultivate
Flower Power, Inc. utilizes a large network of volunteers to provide complimentary pocket gardens and free yard & garden maintenance services to people undergoing cancer treatment in the Camden County, NJ area. Flower Power tailors each garden to the recipient’s preferences and lifestyle. Indoor gardens are available year-round while outdoor gardens are installed on a seasonal basis.
Nurture
Flower Power, Inc. promotes health through the journey to help those gardeners battling cancer learn ways to reduce pesticides and fertilizers in their gardens. We offer organic and native plant gardening education and workshops to introduce participants to the benefits of healthy, biodiverse landscapes.
Bloom
Flower Power, Inc. knows that creativity lessens the anxiety and depression that can accompany a cancer diagnosis. It can be a constructive way to express yourself, channel your frustration and anger, and calm your mind. We use flowers as inspiration for writing workshops, various art classes, and flower arranging courses to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs that accompany the treatment journey.
