At Flower Power, planting a garden means more than growing flowers; it means cultivating hope. Our work bridges the gap between cancer care and emotional well-being by turning backyards, hospital grounds, and community spaces into uplifting places. We offer patients and families spaces to rest, recover, and reconnect, while promoting healthier environments through native plants, pollinator habitats, and no-chemical practices. With every garden we plant, we’re nurturing people, improving the environment, and fighting cancer one flower at a time.
" Having cancer, sometimes you feel so alone, but a garden gives hope and excitement to see it bloom."
" I didn’t tell my kid that I survived cancer until we went to one of the first Flower Power fundraisers, a kickball game in the park...What was once a scary topic felt more approachable. It was a hopeful and supportive environment, and he saw that he could help. Grateful to be part of this organization and the work that it does. "
" I love that I can nurture and watch the growth of my new plants and flowers. As I fight this disease, the garden gives me something positive to focus on, life and living. And, when I am gone, my hope is that my garden is a happy remembrance for my family."
